OUR CORE VALUES

Without truth you leave room for distrust to creep in. When distrust creeps in you lose credibility and undermine your ability to cast a vision and persuade.

Everyone wants to be treated fairly. To receive a good value. To get what they feel like is rightly theirs. When you deal in fairness you build trust.

Passion is not rooted in love. It is about having enthusiasm for something. When you are enthusiastic about what you do others get enthusiastic with you.

Study after study concludes that generous people are happier. You can be generous with your time, money, resources, connects...etc. An attitude of generosity fosters: humbleness, selflessness, contentment, good health, and strong relationships.

Optimism leads to flexibility. As a new company in our ever changing industry, inflexibility will lead to frustration and disappointment.

The definition of perception is "having or showing an ability to understand or notice something easily or quickly." What better way to garner trust with a client and people around you then by showing the ability to quickly understand their issues and provide solutions.

Our Founders

Philip Acree

PRESIDENT, ETA CPP

Jim Malcolm

PRESIDENT OF SALES

I am the father of 3 great kids. Carter 4th grade, Anna Kindergarten and Emery 3. I have been with my wife Callie for 18 years.  She has the gift of mercy and she lives it out every day. I was raised in rural Oklahoma where my parents taught me that most of the time you have to make big sacrifices to live out those things you are most committed to achieving in work and life. In work, I grew up at Heartland Payment Systems. I spent 13 years there from 2003 – 2016 and watched it grow from 500 employees to 5,000.  I developed products, grew sales teams and was a key player in a major culture change in 2011. I always knew that a company could be successful while being an advocate for doing the right thing and Heartland showed me it was possible. Now as the Co-Founder and President of Veritas Payment Advisors I am excited to grow a company the puts people first.  I just completed my certification as a Certified Payments Professional (ETA CPP). I am committed to my education in the payments industry so that I can provide the best solutions for my customers and agents. I am looking forward to many people joining me in this journey.

I am happily married to my incredible wife, Christa.  She is the most loving person you could ever meet. I am the father of 3 Beautiful Daughters Jessica, Madison, and Emily. They are all in College and growing into incredible young women. My faith is very important to me. God is first in my life. Living this everyday has made me a better, husband, father and leader. I try to live out Romans 12:2 every day. It says “Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out.” I played rugby at Oklahoma State University and I graduated with a degree in Hotel and Restaurant management.  Rugby taught me how to work through pain to achieve a goal. It taught me how to be a leader and work with a team. After graduating from Oklahoma State, I worked in the Restaurant Industry for 18 years. I managed several different concepts and owned 2 different restaurants of my own. Through this I learned what it means to work until the job is done and what it means to take full responsibility for the results of an organization. Over the last 14 years I have worked in the payments industry.  Most of that time has been at Heartland Payment Systems where I was a top producer. There wasn’t a sales award that I didn’t win. That success has prepared me to build an organization that models my work ethic and beliefs about how to treat customers and employees. I am a servant leader that will help in any way I can so others will be able to do the same.

The idea of creating a company that would treat both customer and agent with respect and honor was very exciting to founders Philip Acree and Jim Malcolm. When they presented the idea to their circle of influence, they cast a vision of success in an industry that is often seen as deceptive. Building a company on the foundation of honesty and integrity was the motivation behind starting Veritas.  We are committed daily, to be honest and communicate effectively in every business interaction we have with our customers, employees, agents and partners.
